Getting back into knitting for a tiny cause

Inspiration for making often stems from practical requirements – mine was the desire to knit jumpers for my first grandchild.

Astonishingly, despite having ignored this skill for so long, it was still there and with the help of YouTube advice I added to my knowledge and finished seams without apparent trace.

The apple and the teaspoon are meant to show just how small this pullover is. I chose this lively coloured wool not least because I did not know whether to expect a boy or girl.

I am already working on another jumper one size up. And in case you are wondering, the grandchild turned out to be a beautiful little boy called Arthur.
